Temple Run is an addictive 3D canabalt-like gameplay. You embody an explorer who has stolen an idol from a temple and now is chased by evil demon monkeys that want to bring it back. Getting into the temple and grabbing the idol was the easiest part, the real challenge will be surviving cliffs, obstacles and narrow passageways while having horrible creatures nipping at your heels. Some people name it "survival instinct", I prefer call it "finger quickness".
Like a pure canabalt-style, this is an endless running game. However, the environment changes when you collect enough coins to fill up the attitude bar. Although the scenery changes, gameplay is still the same: you have to avoid obstacles or gaps by jumping (swiping up) or sliding (swiping down) and tilt to collect coins. Coins collected are accumulated in your bankroll and you can use them to purchase power-ups and items that will help you out to get even further. You can get more coins by paying with real money (in-app purchase) or even get free coins by liking Temple Run page on Facebook.
Controls are simple and screentouch response works perfectly. Make sure your screen is cleaned before launching the game. Players with high-end and large-screen devices have an advantage. Nothing to say about 3D graphics, simply great, specially power-ups effects and the adventurer moves.
Finally, there's a stats section from where you can see your amount of coins, multiplier, highest score, longest run, coins-streak, total games and total distance.
Give it a go and you'll know why it has reached such millions of players Worldwide. Great 3D graphics and simple gameplay that becomes even more challenging as more people play it. This is a 5/5 stars must-have, how could I challenge the opinion of million people probably smarter than me?
